Graduation! What a proud accomplishment that is deserving of a spectacular celebration! Here are some ways to make the party extra fun and well planned out!
Decorations
- Heels, heels heels! With a theme like “Steppin On Up”, you must have heels everywhere.
- Centerpieces: Place some color appropriate stilettos in center of tables to complement a mixture of short and tall floral centerpieces.
- Heels Fashion Show: Encourage guests to where heels and have a heel fashion show contest – most fashionable heel wins!
- Heel-shaped Cookies: Serve heel shaped cookies for dessert or hand out as favors (there are some cute ones on etsy!)
- Use school colors throughout for the napkins/plates, etc.
- Post awards and pictures of the graduate throughout party area
- Decorate a wooden letter of graduate’s initial with black/white photos
Graduation-Themed Extra Touches
- Chalkboard Food Labels: Make special labels for the various dishes. You can do this by getting foam board made about of chalkboard material.
- “One Smart Cookie”: Also, it would be so adorable to have cookies and milk – to showcase your “one smart cookie” guest of honor. If you want to make them extra cute, take graham crackers and place a miniature peanut butter cup upside down, along with some red icing to make a graduation cookie.
- Smartie Scrolls: How about getting Smarties candy and wrap them so they look like scrolls ☺
Movies: If at your house or if the venue has a screen projector, play a school related movie. We’re showing “Legally Blonde” since our stylish friend Monica is graduating from Law school.
Save Money: Graduation parties can get to be pricey especially if you want to celebrate with everyone you know. Try splitting the costs with a friend since they’ll be celebrating anyway.
