sparkly nicolePink, sparkly, girly, fun — that’s what every girl wants on their birthday. It doesn’t matter if you’re 2 or 62. It’s simple really – when it comes to a girlfriend’s birthday, you just can’t go wrong with the color pink, sparkles and bubbles!

So this year for Nicole’s big 35, we are throwing a Pinkalicious Birthday Bash at, where else, but our fellow pink-lover Lisa Vanderpump’s Sur Restaurant in Beverly Hills. This one is sure to be a blast and actually a relatively easy one to recreate at home so get inspired and throw this grown-up pink princess party along with us.

Pink Party Planning “To Dos” (4 weeks out)

  1. Reserve Party Space & Send Invites: If you are renting out a party space, look for a relatively cost-effective venue that does a lot of the decor work for you.  For example, Sur’s Pinky Room is already very eclectic – minimizing the work for us. Then, send your invite! We found this princess-worthy online selection on Postmark. Love!Screen shot 2014-03-13 at 10.18.58 PM
  2. Plan Your Menu (with venue/caterer/self): Will the venue let you provide your guests with options? Hosting at home? Choose 1 universally loved dish. Consider your guests food preferences when planning. For vegetarians I usually provide an extra side dish that can double as their main course (e.g. Butternut Squash Risotto) In this case, guests chose from various options including this delish Roasted North Atlantic Salmon with Lime Caper Sauce – Yummmm). Don’t worry, Kristi has a wonderful Salmon recipe for you to try – coming shortly.salmon
  3. Order Pink-Themed Decor (plus any favors): Like I said before, the trick is that if you’re hosting at a beautiful venue like Sur, you don’t have to do much. The “Pinky Room” already has this fabulous pink chandelier among other savvy party room accents. Simple and chic pink floral arrangements go a long way. A small favor of chocolates is also a nice touch.chandelier
  4. Fix your fashion! Sign up for Stitch Fix if you haven’t already. It’s your own online personal styling service! You can fill out your own personal style profile so they know what you like. Here’s an example of some of the items they ask you to rank. So stylish right? Who has time anymore to go out and find all this stuff. Perfect!
