jeremiahLet’s be honest, when you are planning a party, no guy really cares about the decorations or what you are supposed to wear.  The most important ingredient is making damn good food and lots of it!  There is also no better way to please the crowds than firing up the grill on a nice summer weekend. There are a number of good reasons to choose to grill it instead of cook it: first, there will be fewer dishes (just cook everything on the grill); second, it’s easier to drink a beer and be social while you cook; lastly, it’s difficult to screw it up.

The menu I selected for this example includes a 2 pound tri-tip, 4 artichokes, and garlic toast to feed 6-8 people (if you give them some appetizers to snack on).  You can find our recipe for the tri-tip HERE. A tri-tip is a flavorful, lean cut of meat that makes a great choice for a party because it is a great value (3 to 4 $/lb on sale), and even if you accidentally overcook it, your guests will still love it.
