IT’S NOT TOO LATE to plan some last minute spooktacular fun!
At Halloween, if you’re a kid, it doesn’t get much better than pumpkin carving, pizza, and candy. Really what’s better? Moms, the good news is it’s pretty easy to throw this pumpkin-carving party together. Here’s the quick run down for some spooktacular fun!
Plan it: Festive & Fast Invite
It has to be all about PUMPKINS! Online invites are a great way to get the message out fast and effectively. They are also great for maintaining RSVPs easily and sending out updates and reminders. This is a great option from Paperless Post.
Cook It: Big. Giant. Pizza!
Done, done and done! Make it easy on yourself and pizza is all kids want anyway! You need your energy and creativity when it comes to helping the kiddos carve those masterful pumpkins, and sneak in some wine here and there. How cool is this amazing giant pizza Tonya got from Big Mama’s and Papas Pizzeria in Studio City?
Create It: Carve Out Some Fun & Treat Bags
Carving Station: Find some cute (and FREE) pumpkin face printables on Pinterest. We found these and they work fantastic. Print them out on orange paper and set out some kid safe carving tools for festive flair at a carving station.
Take a Treat: Set out a sign with adorable treat bags. Keep it simple! Tonya put candy from Nuts.com in festive halloween-themed favor bags with ties – Laffy Taffy, Jolly Ranchers, Lemonheads, Saltwater Taffy, double bubble gum…sugar rush anyone? Ha! No time for online delivery? Stop by the local candy store or homemade cookies do the trick! Who doesn’t love to take home a treat after a festive party.
Style It: Total cuteness = Priceless!
Be festive, fun and free! You need your hands free to carve those pumpkins so don’t get too caught up in a costume. For bonus points, throw on some orange and black and if you’re 2, a cute pink headband always does the trick.
Party On,
Ashley
