Pulled Pork Sliders

  • 8 lb pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coarse kosher salt

Directions: 

  1. Make the rub by mixing all the spices together in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Rinse meat under water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Stab meat with fork all over.
  4. Place meat into the Crock Pot with the fatty side at the top.
  5. While in the Crock Pot, rub ingredients vigorously into the meat until generously covered all over.
  6. Add ¼ water to the Crock Pot without rinsing the rub off the meat. Cook on low for 6-10 hours.
