It all began with a Wholefoods cheese pizza, a couple of bottles of wine, and a side of our guilty pleasure ~ you may know it ~ The Bachelor. While our eyes were glued to the TV, another hit reality show, Vanderpump Rules, surfaced the 
conversation. A few friends, my fiancé, and I briefly spoke about wanting to go to the SUR Restaurant and Lounge in Hollywood, CA (over yonder and through the high rises). It is the steamiest, drama driven show on television and the drama hub is basically in our backyard. How could we let the opportunity to meet the gorgeous & handsome SUR staff slip by us! Not a chance. 
So, not a week later, we found a reason to gather the group for a front seat, SUR showdown. Making the reservation was surprising seamless, especially considering how popular the restaurant is due to the impressive, Lisa Vanderpump. We luv PINK and therefore LUV Lisa V. The event coordinator was delightful throughout the planning process. We selected a date (need to plan a few weeks in advance for large groups) and chose from preset menu options. So the invite went out! 
Catering to our hearts little desires, a personalized menu was created for each of our guests ~ adorned with a warm welcome and thank you message along with a birthday gal picture. It wasn’t necessary, but like everything at SUR, that special touch was automatically added. The customizable menu made the dining experience all the more memorable, like a souvenir, so to speak. 
Our guests were delighted to see a couple of Vanderpump Rules cast members, Peter Madrigal & Kristen Doute. Peter was SO kind ~ taking fan pictures while working our table.
The décor was rustic, but chic and clean, with PINK and sparkly accents everywhere we looked. The pink, velvet chair covers made our table ambiance soft and sweet in the “pinky” room. Yes, that is an official reservation room name. Gorgeous flower arrangements were complimentary and lined the entire table.
The food was divine, melt in your mouth delicious. We loved the salmon and I highly recommend the cobbler, still dreaming about it!!! 
If I had to give this restaurant a star rating, they would get a SUPER one. The elegant experience, superior food quality, and outstanding service deserve SUR the honor of SUPER star in our book.
As for our fashion-forward guests, they showed up in style. I know a few of us wore some pink perfect finds from Stitch Fix, an online personal styling service, every Cuisinista needs one! Most girls wore springy short sheath dresses and guys rocked jeans, colorful oxfords with sport coats. Perfectly appropriate for Hollywood this time of year.
To top it all, our stylish guests totally played the part by reenacting a classic photo from Vanderpump Rules. I must say we have their ‘look’ down pretty good!!! Fancy it?
