Who’s the Queen of hearts? You!  Hi hot mamas!  Let’s introduce your toddlers to having some Valentine party fun with style.  For the Valentine’s party, I have some ideas for activities, décor and party favors:

Heart-themed Activities

Make Heart-Shaped Valentines! Set up a Valentine craft area! Use heart shaped paper and decorate with stickers and doilies and trace the kids hands on them so they look like hearts.  These can be given to dads or grandparents as a Valentine from their favorite tot!

Heart 2 Heart” Jumping Game: For your little ones that are starting to discover walking, jumping, and dancing, try the heart hopping game.  All you need is red construction paper cut into heart shapes and simply write numbers 1 through 10 on each and then place them on the ground in a scattered  way.  Your kiddos can then practice their counting by jumping from heart to heart.

Festive Favors

We’re making heart-shaped favor tags attached to adorable homemade chocolates! Interested? It’s easy as 1 – 2 – 3!

1. Emboss: DIY Emboss white construction paper hearts with red ink using your stamps of choice and tape/glue to a cute heart-shaped red doily (available at any craft store). We used a “To” stamp and a heart-shaped stamp. You can get sets of similar stamps from Paper Source.photo(6)

2. Make Chocolate: Melt chocolate into molds in various festive shapes (we made cars, hearts, rocking horses, and legos) and let sit in fridge for 1 hour. Ashley uses molds from Pavoni Italia.

3. Wrap it up! Put chocolates into cute clear bags and sit out with favor tags. Adorbs!

If you want to try something else, there are a million other cutesy ideas.  A few of my favorites are below:

  • Animal crackers wrapped up with a V-Day message that says “I’m  WILD about you”
  • Baby food Squeeze pouches with a V-Day message attached that says “You are my main SQUEEZE”
  • For boys, hot wheels with a “You make my heart race!”

Valentine’s Day Decor

Decorating for Valentine’s Day can be so much fun!  Here are a few ideas to get you going:

  • Have kids help you create a paper wreath with conversation hearts that say “be mine”, “kiss”, “hugs”, “love”, “BFF” or whatever lovey dovey messages you choose.
  • Spray paint XO letters from the craft store and place them on your mantel.
  • By a love pillow and showcase it on your couch or chair or “love seat”.  Target has $3 ones in the front dollar section.  So cute!

Have a blast!

Because style is everything,

Tonya
