We hosted a fantastic Valentine’s Day Playdate today complete with an innovative invite, heart-shaped bites, festive favors, a Valentine craft, and stylish guests from new friends to BFFs. Planning a playdate too? Here’s our party summary for ideas.
Plan It: We sent out an informal online invitation from Paperless Post 2-3 weeks prior to the event. I was so excited to draw extra attention to the invite by customizing the invitation with Andrew and his BFF’s smiley pic. Cuties!
Cook It: We heart our party bites! Guests loved the heart-themed munchies including “healthier” fruit, and cheese and indulgent pink and rainbow sprinkle cupcakes. The apps were simple but the extra touch of a heart cookie cutter really went a long way with presentation.
Create It: The kids loved making Valentines with crayons and stickers at the craft table! Some went all out! For an added touch, all the playdate guests received heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies packaged in cute mini Valentine’s Day boxes as a small favor/valentine from Andrew and Piper.
Style it: The kids all looked perfectly fashionable in their pink and red (We asked the mommies to dress them that way)! Here is our best shot at a “group pic”.
Oh and we’ll throw in one of the little ones too 🙂
Party on,
Ashley
