SipBloodBannerThis is no ordinary wine-pairing party so why would you serve ordinary food and wine? Here are a few very cool pairings I have put together with the help of Vampire Vineyards’s fabulous sommelier. Rumor has it, he’s from Transylvania.

Rose & Red Caviar: Kick off your 902-Wino soiree with an elegant hello and serve Je T’aime Brut Rose, paired with Red Caviar on toasted english muffins or mini pancakes with a touch of creme fraiche. Here’s an example we saw at Petrossian.com. The Rose has elements of fresh strawberry and raspberry which lead to a crisp, balanced and graceful flavor which coordinates well with the delicacy of the red caviar.Picture 73

Pinot Noir & Brie: Start off your reds tasting with Dracula Pinot Noir, paired with Cuisinistas.com’s Chutney Baked Brie. The Brie complements the raspberry, black cherry and pomegranate flavors from the pinot.

Pinot Noir & Pesto: Our third and unexpected pairing is divine. Pair Vampire Pinot Noir with Pesto Dip and Sliced French Bread. This wine has an enticing aroma of strawberry and raspberry. The slight “oaky” flavor marries well with the basil and parmigiano essences of the pesto dip!

Be sure to get your Cuisinistas discount at Vampire.com. Just enter the keyword “CUISINISTAS” at checkout. We have some pretty “cheesy” pairings on the way…so check back soon.

Cheers,
