Who do you think will win the best actor this year? My vote is for Denzel. And what about Best Picture – that has to be Lincoln, right? What about best dress? I just love seeing all of the Hollywood glitz and glamour during the Oscars red carpet event. And isn’t it the most fun to be with friends at home in front of a big TV? Yep! Here’s how to make your Oscar Party special and memorable!
Entrance – think gold and fabric pieces to make a stunning door curtain. Also, you must must must have a red carpet – it’s an absolute requirement to roll out the red carpet for your friends! They are the “Stars” in your world, after all! You can get a red carpet anywhere online or at a party store, and if you are out of luck, just fold a red plastic table cloth in half and place it at your front entrance.
Oscar Trophy – are you crafty? Even if you’re not, this is fun to make. Grab some gold glitter paper and cut out the shape of the trophy, hot glue a Popsicle stick to the back and now you have a prop for photo opportunities! That is EASY!
Plates/Napkins – We are using “Hollywood Lights” décor to go with the gold/black theme.
Popcorn Boxes – this is the best! Go to the dollar store and get a bunch of plastic popcorn boxes – they are so cute and perfect for this party! Your guests will feel like they are at the premier!
Games – how about a good wholesome game of Oscar bingo? Better Homes and Gardens has a printable Bingo card just for the Oscars – and it will add the element of interaction to your night – you will be host of the year!
